While in the process of creating visuals for Coyne, it became apparent that it was also time for a rebrand.
Using a humanist sans-serif, the new logo draws on the tactile nature of the clothes.

ABOUT THE PROJECTS
”Keen On Boys” 2020 + “Heaven’s On Fire” 2021 Menswear Collections

An ongoing series of side projects where I wore many hats for a small Brooklyn-based fashion brand. This was a fun exercise in bringing a fresh visual language and voice to the lookbooks, editorial and social media assets. I felt that given the crafty nature of the clothes, it made sense to move the logo from cold uppercase to a more personable approach. For “Keen On Boys”, I created a familiar mood for social media built around a modified mail order catalog, showcasing the designs in a nostalgic way.

Covid-19 hit and with it came the challenge of coming up with creative solutions to continue making things for Coyne. The limitations naturally lead me to shooting virtually using FaceTime, editing video, and constructing sounds/music. Once it was feasible, I set the mood and photographed Coyne’s new collection, “Heaven’s On Fire” which was designed during the peak of the pandemic. Ultimately, the delivery of these visuals reflect the casual and open-ended structure I was allowed to have in order to make something cool.
